Will my insurance cover Zepbound?

Your insurance may cover Zepbound®. While we don't offer direct billing, if you have coverage, everything you need for reimbursement will be included in your prescription package.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No. You do not need a referral from a doctor. Raven's healthcare providers are licensed in Canada to evaluate your health and prescribe medications like Zepbound®.

What is Zepbound and how does it work?

Zepbound® is a brand of tirzepatide, a once-weekly injection that activates two gut hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1. In Canada, Zepbound is authorized by Health Canada for chronic weight management in eligible adults, used together with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

What is the difference between Zepbound and Mounjaro?

Both contain the same active ingredient, tirzepatide, from the same manufacturer, but are sold under different brand names for different authorized uses. Zepbound® is authorized in Canada for chronic weight management. Mounjaro® is authorized for type 2 diabetes. A licensed provider can advise which, if any, applies to your situation.

What is the difference between Zepbound and Wegovy?

Both are once-weekly injections authorized in Canada for chronic weight management, but they contain different active ingredients. Zepbound® contains tirzepatide, which acts on two receptors, GIP and GLP-1. Wegovy® contains semaglutide, which acts on the GLP-1 receptor. Which option is appropriate is determined by a licensed provider based on your health profile.

What happens after I submit my health form?

A licensed Canadian provider reviews your form within 24 hours. You’ll get updates by email and in your Raven portal with next steps or questions from your provider.

Is it legal to prescribe treatment online?

What provinces are you available in?

We are currently available in Ontario, BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and PEI.

Is my information safe?

Yes. At Raven, we take your data security very seriously. Your medical records are encrypted and secure, meeting all Canadian PHIPA requirements, to protect your information at all times. Please read our Privacy Policy for more details.

What should I do if I am experiencing a side effect?

If you believe you have a medical emergency, please contact 911 immediately.

If you believe you are experiencing a side effect and it is not an emergency, please stop taking the medication and message your prescribing physician. They will be able to recommend an appropriate course of action.

Alternatively, feel free to email [email protected] and we will notify the physician on your behalf.

It’s an emergency, what do I do?

In an emergency, please call 911 immediately.

Can I cancel my order at any time?

Yes. You can pause or cancel upcoming orders. We suggest messaging your provider first since most concerns can be resolved with small adjustments.
