Am I a good candidate for medical weight loss?

Raven's medical weight loss plan is for Canadian women with obesity. Among women, obesity can be caused by genetic and hormonal factors like menopause and PCOS. Completing your online health questionnaire and connecting with a licensed Raven provider will help you confirm whether treatment is right for you.

Do I need a prescription for hair loss treatment?

Yes. All medications offered through Raven require a prescription. If treatment is appropriate, one of our licensed Canadian providers will review your assessment and issue a prescription.

How is Raven different from other weight loss plans?

With Raven, you get to skip the specialist waitlist with a simple online health questionnaire. If prescribed by a licensed Canadian provider, you will receive a weight loss treatment plan tailored to your health profile. Plus, the Raven app tracks your progress and gives you reminders when it's time to check in with your provider.

Will my insurance cover this?

Your insurance may cover medical weight loss treatment. While we don't offer direct billing, if you have coverage, everything you need for reimbursement will be included in your prescription package.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No. You do not need a referral from a doctor. Raven's healthcare providers are licensed in Canada to evaluate your health and prescribe treatment.

Can I use this if I'm pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding?

If you're pregnant, actively planning on getting pregnant, or breastfeeding, you should not use medical weight loss treatment. Consult with a healthcare provider about your plans for pregnancy for more personalized guidance.

How long will it take to see results?

Most women notice appetite changes in the first few weeks. Weight changes usually begin between 4–12 weeks. Your provider may adjust your plan along the way.

How much weight can I realistically lose?

The amount of weight you can lose is unique to you and can depend on your biology and lifestyle. Raven patients reported losing 13 lbs on average per month of treatment.

How much does treatment cost?

Pricing depends on your health needs. You’ll see exact pricing during your online assessment. Raven does not require insurance, but some plans may be covered depending on your provider.

Can I bill insurance?

While we don't offer direct billing, if you have coverage, everything you will need for reimbursement will be included in your prescription package.

Can my plan change over time?

Yes. Your provider can adjust your dose, switch medications, or update your plan as your needs change.

Can I return my prescription?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of prescription products for reuse or resale. However, if you feel we made an error in the filling of your prescription, please contact us at support@getraven.com.

How does Raven work?

  4. You get ongoing support through doctor check-ins and reminders.
What happens after I submit my health form?

A licensed Canadian provider reviews your form within 24 hours. You’ll get updates by email and in your Raven portal with next steps or questions from your provider.

How quickly will a doctor review my questionnaire?

After your online questionnaire, a doctor will complete their initial review of your medical history within 24 hours.

I missed a message from my doctor. Where can I find it?

All provider messages appear in your Raven portal. We also send email reminders, but the portal is the quickest place to check.

What if the medication doesn’t feel right for me?

Message your provider. They can adjust your dose, suggest tips for side effects, or switch medications. Your plan should feel manageable and work with your life.

What should I do if I am experiencing a side effect?

If you believe you have a medical emergency, please contact 911 immediately.

If you believe you are experiencing a side effect and it is not an emergency, please stop taking the medication and message your prescribing physician. They will be able to recommend an appropriate course of action. Alternatively, feel free to email support@getraven.com and we will notify the physician on your behalf.

It’s an emergency, what do I do?

In an emergency, please call 911 immediately.

Can I cancel my order at any time?

Yes. You can pause or cancel upcoming orders. We suggest messaging your provider first since most concerns can be resolved with small adjustments.
